About the Springfield Armory XDM Elite Compact 9mm Pistol

The Springfield XDM Elite Compact 9mm Pistol with Hex Dragonfly Red Dot represents a refined balance of concealed carry utility and advanced sighting technology. Designed for shooters who demand immediate target acquisition without sacrificing the compact profile necessary for daily carry, this pistol integrates the proven XDM Elite platform with a factory-mounted Hex Dragonfly red dot optic. Whether you are upgrading your personal defense setup or adding a reliable compact to your collection, the springfield xdm elite compact 9mm pistol with hex dragonfly red dot delivers consistent performance out of the box.

Overview

Springfield Armory built the XDM Elite Compact to bridge the gap between full-size duty pistols and subcompact carry options. With a 3.8-inch barrel and a 14+1 round capacity in 9mm, it provides ample firepower in a frame that conceals easily under a cover garment. The included Hex Dragonfly red dot sight is pre-mounted and co-witnesses with the suppressor-height front sight, eliminating the need for aftermarket milling or adapter plates. This package is ready for range use or defensive carry from the moment it leaves the box, and it is a direct response to what experienced shooters expect from a modern compact pistol.

Features and Specs

Every element of the springfield xdm elite compact 9mm pistol with hex dragonfly red dot is engineered for reliability and control. The polymer frame features the XDM Elite textured grip, which provides secure purchase even in wet conditions. The forged steel slide is treated with a corrosion-resistant finish, and the barrel is hammer-forged for long service life. Below are the core specifications and included features:

• Caliber: 9mm Luger; magazine capacity: 14+1 rounds with two magazines included (one flush-fit, one with a grip extension)
• Barrel length: 3.8 inches; overall length: 7.3 inches; weight: approximately 24 ounces unloaded
• Hex Dragonfly red dot sight with 3 MOA dot, automatic ambient light adjustment, and CR2032 battery; co-witnesses with factory suppressor-height sights

The trigger system uses the XDM Elite match-grade trigger with a short reset, reducing split times during follow-up shots. An ambidextrous slide stop and a reversible magazine release accommodate both left and right-handed shooters. The accessory rail on the dust cover allows for standard weapon lights or lasers.

• Match-grade barrel and trigger assembly for improved accuracy and consistent pull weight
• Slide cut for direct mounting of the Hex Dragonfly optic with no adapter plate required; optic is included and pre-installed
• Loaded chamber indicator and striker status indicator for visual and tactile chamber status verification

Who It Is For

This pistol is intended for the civilian shooter who prioritizes concealed carry without compromising sight performance. If you are transitioning from iron sights to a red dot, the springfield xdm elite compact 9mm pistol with hex dragonfly red dot removes the guesswork and extra expense of separate optic purchases and installation. It suits experienced handgun owners who want a compact frame that still offers a full grip, as well as newer shooters who prefer the faster sight picture that a red dot provides. Law enforcement professionals or security personnel seeking an off-duty or backup weapon will also find the capacity and dimensions appropriate for daily wear.

• Shooters who want a red dot without modifying the slide or buying additional mounting hardware
• Individuals who value a 14+1 capacity in a package that remains comfortable for all-day carry
