About the Springfield Armory 2020 Waypoint 6.5 Creedmoor Bolt-Action Rifle

The Springfield 2020 Waypoint 6.5 Creedmoor bolt-action rifle with carbon fiber barrel and evergreen camo stock represents a precise intersection of lightweight field performance and long-range accuracy. Designed for the discerning hunter and precision shooter, this rifle delivers consistent sub-MOA capability straight from the factory. Every component on this platform has been selected to reduce weight without compromising rigidity, making it an ideal companion for backcountry excursions and demanding shooting applications.

Overview

Springfield Armory engineered the 2020 Waypoint as a purpose-built rifle that bridges the gap between custom builds and production firearms. The 6.5 Creedmoor chambering offers exceptional ballistic performance with flat trajectories and retained energy at extended ranges. The carbon fiber barrel, wrapped around a 416R stainless steel core, provides the stiffness required for consistent accuracy while reducing overall weight by approximately one pound compared to a traditional steel barrel. The evergreen camo stock, featuring a textured G10 finish, offers durable weather resistance and a secure grip in wet or cold conditions. This is the springfield 2020 waypoint 6.5 creedmoor bolt-action rifle with carbon fiber barrel and evergreen camo stock in its most refined form.

Features & Specs

• Action: Two-lug bolt with a 60-degree throw, featuring a spiral-fluted body and a removable, flush-fit magazine with a 5-round capacity in 6.5 Creedmoor. The receiver is precision machined from 4140 steel and features an integral 20 MOA rail for optic mounting.
• Barrel: 22-inch carbon fiber wrapped barrel with a 1:8 twist rate, threaded 5/8x24 with a factory-installed muzzle brake. The barrel is free-floated and hand-lapped for consistent accuracy.
• Stock: Evergreen camo pattern on a carbon fiber-reinforced polymer stock with a vertical grip, adjustable length of pull via spacer system, and an adjustable cheek riser. Includes M-LOK slots at the forend for accessory attachment.

Additional specifications include a TriggerTech trigger system with a factory-set pull weight of approximately 3.5 pounds, fully adjustable from 2.5 to 5 pounds. The bolt release is ambidextrous, and the safety is a two-position tang-mounted design. The rifle ships with a soft case and one magazine. This springfield 2020 waypoint 6.5 creedmoor bolt-action rifle with carbon fiber barrel and evergreen camo stock weighs in at just 6.75 pounds unloaded, making it one of the lightest production rifles in its class.

Who It’s For

This rifle is built for the serious hunter who demands reliability and accuracy in a lightweight package. The 6.5 Creedmoor cartridge is ideal for medium to large game at moderate to long distances, and the carbon fiber barrel reduces fatigue during long hikes or stalk hunts. Law enforcement personnel and precision rifle enthusiasts who need a portable, accurate platform for field shooting will find this rifle meets rigorous standards. The adjustable stock and trigger allow for a custom fit without visiting a gunsmith, making it accessible to shooters who want performance out of the box.
