About the Springfield Armory XD-E 9mm DA/SA Concealed Carry Pistol

Overview

The Springfield XD-E 9mm DA/SA concealed carry pistol with Everyday Carry (EDC) package delivers a purpose-built carry solution for shooters who demand a traditional double-action/single-action trigger system in a slim, subcompact frame. Springfield Armory engineered the XD-E to bridge the gap between modern striker-fired ergonomics and the proven DA/SA hammer-fired platform. This factory EDC package includes essential accessories for immediate concealed carry readiness, making it a direct choice for those who require a firearm that performs straight from the box. The pistol features a 3.3-inch barrel, a 9+1 round capacity, and a slim slide profile optimized for deep concealment. For the shooter who values a manual decocking lever and a consistent single-action trigger pull on follow-up shots, the Springfield XD-E 9mm DA/SA concealed carry pistol with Everyday Carry (EDC) package provides a distinct mechanical advantage without sacrificing concealability.

Features & Specs

The Springfield XD-E combines a hammer-fired DA/SA action with modern defensive features. The Everyday Carry (EDC) package adds a paddle holster, dual magazine pouch, and two magazines to the base pistol package. Key specifications and design elements include:

• Action: Double-action/single-action with ambidextrous thumb safety and slide-mounted decocking lever. First pull is a smooth 9-pound DA trigger; subsequent shots are a crisp 5.5-pound SA trigger.
• Frame and slide: Glass-reinforced polymer frame with interchangeable backstraps (two included). Forged steel slide with a corrosion-resistant Melonite finish. Overall width is 0.9 inches for easy concealment.
• Sights: Low-profile, snag-free front sight with tritium insert and rear combat sight with white dot reference. Drift-adjustable for windage.

Additional specs include a 3.3-inch hammer-forged barrel, overall length of 6.75 inches, unloaded weight of 22.5 ounces, and a loaded chamber indicator. The Springfield XD-E 9mm DA/SA concealed carry pistol with Everyday Carry (EDC) package ships with two 9-round steel magazines, a paddle holster, and a dual magazine carrier.

Who It's For

This pistol is built for the concealed carrier who prefers the manual control and trigger consistency of a hammer-fired, DA/SA platform over a striker-fired system. It suits shooters who want a decocking lever to safely lower the hammer without pulling the trigger, and who appreciate the ability to carry with a round chambered and the hammer down for a longer, safer first pull. The Springfield XD-E 9mm DA/SA concealed carry pistol with Everyday Carry (EDC) package is ideal for those who train regularly and value a repeatable single-action trigger for faster, more accurate follow-up shots. It also serves as a strong option for new carriers transitioning from a revolver or for experienced shooters who want a slim, lightweight pistol with a manual safety and a traditional trigger system. The included EDC accessories reduce initial gear costs, making it a practical choice for the budget-conscious buyer who needs a complete carry setup.
