About the Springfield Armory Ronin 10mm 1911 Semi-Auto Pistol

When you pick up the Springfield Ronin 10mm 1911 semi-auto pistol with wood grips, you feel the balance immediately. This is a 1911 built for the shooter who wants the extra punch of 10mm without sacrificing the classic single-action trigger feel. Springfield Armory took their proven Operator frame and paired it with a forged slide, then wrapped it in walnut for a look that belongs in a glass case but performs best on the range or in the field.

Overview

The springfield ronin 10mm 1911 semi-auto pistol with wood grips is a modern take on a timeless platform. Chambered in 10mm Auto, it delivers significantly more energy than a standard .45 ACP while still being controllable thanks to the full-length guide rod and bull barrel. The forged slide features lightening cuts and a cocking serration pattern that gives you a solid purchase, even with sweaty or gloved hands. This is a gun that shoots flat, feeds reliably, and looks like it means business.

Features & Specs

Springfield Armory didn't cut corners on the Ronin. The frame is forged carbon steel with an Armory Kote finish that resists holster wear and corrosion. The slide is forged and machined with a low-profile dovetail front sight and a Tactical Rack rear sight for a quick sight picture. Below are the key specifications you need to know.

• Caliber: 10mm Auto, 8+1 capacity with a stainless steel magazine
• Barrel: 5-inch forged stainless steel bull barrel with a full-length guide rod
• Grips: Checkered walnut double-diamond wood grips, thin profile for better hand fit
• Trigger: Forged, skeletonized trigger with an adjustable trigger stop; crisp 4-5 pound pull
• Sights: Low-profile dovetail front and Tactical Rack rear with a serrated face to reduce glare
• Safety: Beavertail grip safety with a memory bump and an extended thumb safety

This springfield ronin 10mm 1911 semi-auto pistol with wood grips also features a flared ejection port for reliable case extraction and a lowered and flared magazine well for faster reloads. The slide is flat-top serrated to reduce glare, and the entire gun is built on a full-size government frame.

Who It’s For

This pistol is for the shooter who wants more than a range toy. The 10mm cartridge offers flat trajectory and deep penetration, making it an excellent choice for hunting medium game or carrying in bear country. If you appreciate the feel of a steel-framed 1911 but want the versatility of 10mm, this Ronin is a natural fit. It also appeals to handloaders who want to push 10mm to its potential.

• Hunters and outdoorsmen needing a powerful sidearm for defense against large animals
• 1911 enthusiasts who want to try 10mm without a custom build
• Target shooters who appreciate a crisp trigger and a proven platform

The bull barrel and steel frame soak up the recoil, and the thin wood grips let you get a high grip for better control.
