About the Rossi RB17 17 HMR Bolt-Action Rimfire Rifle

Overview

The Rossi RB17 17 HMR bolt-action rimfire rifle with 21 inch barrel delivers precision shooting in a lightweight, field-ready platform. Chambered in .17 HMR, this bolt-action rifle offers flat trajectory and high velocity for varmint control, target shooting, and small game hunting. Rossi engineers have paired a 21-inch barrel with a reliable bolt-action mechanism to produce a rifle that balances accuracy with easy handling. As a rimfire rifle, the RB17 provides cost-effective practice while maintaining the performance needed for serious marksmanship. The synthetic stock and matte finish ensure durability in varying weather conditions, making this a practical choice for shooters who demand reliability from their firearms.

Who It’s For

The Rossi RB17 17 HMR bolt-action rimfire rifle with 21 inch barrel suits varmint hunters seeking a flat-shooting cartridge for ground squirrels, prairie dogs, and other small pests. Target shooters will appreciate the low recoil and affordable ammunition cost, allowing for extended range sessions without fatigue. This rifle also serves new shooters transitioning from .22 LR to a faster round, though the .17 HMR cartridge remains manageable for intermediate users. Hunters who need a lightweight rifle for walking fields or fence lines will find the RB17 carries well and delivers the terminal performance required for ethical harvests at moderate ranges. The bolt-action design appeals to traditionalists who prefer manual cycling over semi-automatic operation.
