CZ DUTY 4.0 F MS

Most of what we sell in November is a deer rifle or a duck gun, but a lot of Faulkner County households also want one good handgun, and the CZ DUTY 4.0 is a strong new option. It is a striker-fired 9x19mm with a 4-inch barrel, a fiberglass-reinforced polymer frame and a serialized internal chassis. The slide is cut for a direct-mount red dot and keeps fixed iron sights.

There are four versions. The C compact carries 15+1 rounds, the F full-size 17+1, and both go up by two with the extended base plate. Add MS to the name and you get a manual thumb safety on top of the firing pin block, trigger safety and trigger bar safety. For a truck gun on the drive from Conway to Stuttgart, a nightstand pistol in Heber Springs or Batesville, or a carry gun around Little Rock, the 5.6-pound SFDA trigger and 1.3-inch width make it easy to live with.

CZ built the DUTY around a registered chassis that the polymer grip frame wraps around, the same idea that lets a owner change frame size without buying a new registered gun. The trigger is a refined SFDA striker unit, 25 ± 4 N (5.6 ± 0.9 lbs) pull, 0.16 in (4 mm) reset, 9 ± 1 mm (0.4 ± 0.04 in) travel. The slide takes optics by direct mounting; CZ's product photos show Holosun, Aimpoint and Shield units in place. Sights are fixed, the four-inch barrel is not threaded.

Capacity on the full-frame is 17+1 standard and 19+1 with the longer base plate. Height 5.6 in (143 mm), empty weight 27.7 oz (780 g). It is the duty-belt, range and home-defense version of the line, and the one most owners find easiest to shoot well.

A manual thumb safety is the one thing that separates this model from its sibling. It sits beside the three automatic safeties, firing pin block, trigger safety and trigger-bar safety, and does not change the trigger pull.

Who is it for: home defense, duty use, competition and long range sessions where the extra grip and two more rounds matter. If you already shoot a P-10, the DUTY is the next step in the same family, with a new chassis and the optics done right.

Add the DUTY 4.0 to your cart and name the Arkansas dealer you want it shipped to. Arkansas has no permit to purchase and no waiting period, so your dealer runs the background check at pickup and you leave with the gun. Ammo, steel shot and gear ship to your door. Price and stock get confirmed live as you order, before payment.

Questions buyers ask: Do I need a permit to buy a handgun in Arkansas? No. Arkansas has no permit to purchase and no waiting period; the background check happens at your dealer when you collect the pistol. What does the MS version add? A manual thumb safety. The standard DUTY 4.0 already has a firing pin block, a trigger safety and a trigger bar safety; MS adds a lever you can flick on for a truck or nightstand gun. Is the CZ DUTY 4.0 F MS the same gun as the F? Yes, apart from the manual thumb safety. Chassis, trigger, slide and the 17+1 capacity are identical.
