About the Henry H9 Protector Carbine

The Henry H9 Protector Carbine represents a deliberate evolution in lever-action rifle design, engineered for the demands of modern hunting and practical shooting. Chambered for .30-30 Winchester and .360 Buckhammer, this carbine delivers the proven reliability and smooth cycling that Henry Repeating Arms has built its reputation on, now refined with enhanced ergonomics and a side-gate loading system. Whether you are tracking white-tailed deer in dense cover or managing shot placement at moderate ranges, the henry h9 protector carbine offers a balanced, responsive platform that rewards practice and precision.

Overview

Henry Repeating Arms has taken the classic lever-action formula and updated it with the H9 Protector Carbine, a rifle built around a forged and machined steel receiver with a threaded muzzle and a robust synthetic stock. The carbine’s 16.5-inch barrel keeps the overall length compact for maneuverability in tight spaces, while the side loading gate allows quick, easy topping off of the tubular magazine without breaking your shooting stance. Available in .30-30 and .360 Buckhammer, this carbine is designed for hunters who need a fast-handling, hard-hitting rifle that stands up to weather and wear.

Who It's For

The H9 Protector Carbine is built for the hunter who values a fast-handling rifle that can perform in rough conditions. If you need a carbine that points naturally, cycles reliably with heavy loads, and offers a threaded barrel for suppressor use, this Henry model is a direct answer. It suits experienced shooters transitioning from traditional lever actions who want a synthetic stock and modern sight options, as well as those working with the .360 Buckhammer cartridge for straight-wall cartridge hunting states. The henry h9 protector carbine is also an excellent choice for the shooter who prioritizes a compact, lightweight rifle without sacrificing the classic lever-action feel.
