About the Alpha Foxtrot AF1911 Romulus Comp Polished DLC 9mm 4.25" Threaded Barrel 20-Rounds RMSc Footprint

Product Overview

The Alpha Foxtrot AF1911 Romulus Comp Polished DLC is a modern evolution of the iconic 1911 platform, engineered for the discerning shooter who demands both classic form and cutting-edge function. This 9mm semi-automatic pistol combines a precision-machined 4.25" threaded barrel with an integrated compensator and a high-capacity 20-round double-stack frame. Finished in a striking polished DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon), it is built for shooters seeking a duty-ready or premium range handgun that excels in recoil management, rapid follow-up shots, and optical sight compatibility. Its optics-ready RMSc footprint slide makes it a formidable choice for defensive applications, competitive shooting, or as a standout piece in any collection.

Key Features

• Integrated Threaded Compensator Barrel: The 4.25" barrel features a threaded muzzle (½"x28 thread pitch) with an integrated compensator. This design significantly reduces muzzle rise and felt recoil, allowing for faster sight recovery and improved shot-to-shot accuracy.
• Optics-Ready RMSc Footprint Slide: The slide is machined from the factory to accept micro red dot sights with the popular RMSc mounting pattern (including Shield RMSc, Sig Romeo Zero, and similar optics). This allows for instant dot acquisition without the need for aftermarket milling.
• High-Capacity 1911 Platform: Utilizing a double-stack frame, the Romulus offers a substantial 20+1 round capacity in 9mm. This merges the revered ergonomics and trigger of the 1911 with the firepower expected from a modern service pistol.
• Polished DLC Finish: The Diamond-Like Carbon coating over a polished substrate provides an exceptionally durable, corrosion-resistant, and low-friction surface. It offers the sleek appearance of a polished firearm with the hardened wear resistance of a tactical coating.
• Enhanced Control & Ergonomics: The design balances the 1911's classic grip angle with enhanced texturing and a full-length guide rod system. This promotes secure handling and reliable cycling, contributing to the pistol's noted recoil control and accuracy.
• Modern Sighting System: As an optics-ready pistol, it comes equipped with low-profile iron sights that provide a co-witness capability through most micro red dots, ensuring a backup aiming solution is always available.

Performance & Applications

Dynamic Range & Competition Shooting: The Romulus Comp is engineered for speed and precision. The barrel's compensator directly counters muzzle flip, keeping the sight picture stable during strings of fire. This, combined with the exceptional 1911 trigger, allows competitive shooters and enthusiasts to place accurate shots rapidly and manage difficult shot sequences like bill drills or plate racks with greater consistency.

Modern Defensive Preparedness: For the responsible citizen seeking a home defense or duty-capable firearm, this model offers a compelling package. The high 20-round capacity reduces reload frequency in critical situations, while the optics-ready platform enables the use of a red dot for faster target acquisition in varied lighting conditions. The reliable 1911 operating system and robust DLC finish ensure the pistol can perform under demanding circumstances.

Premium Collection & Range Use: Beyond its performance, the Romulus serves as a showcase piece. The polished DLC finish and meticulous machining reflect a high level of craftsmanship. It is a firearm designed for shooters who appreciate the heritage of the 1911 but require the features of a contemporary tool, making every range session both a practical and pleasurable experience.
